Improvement Advisor - Specialist Services (CAMHS, IAPT, & SCYPS)
Matt Oultram is an Improvement Advisor in the Quality Improvement department, supporting our Specialist Child and Young Person’s Services (SCYPS), Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) directorates.
Matt joined the trust in May 2023 as an Improvement Advisor with the quality improvement team. He started his career with the Prison Service (young offenders and Therapeutic Community), before moving into mental health and quality improvement. He has been in a range of QI/QA roles within the Royal College of Psychiatrists and Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health where he project-managed the CYP Diabetes QI Collaborative. His most recent role was with Barts NHS working in Elective Recovery and the community Women’s Health Hub. He is passionate about engaging with teams and using QI to bring about change, especially through use of technology.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with family, renovating his house, learning music (guitar/piano), health and fitness (I cycle everywhere!) and watching crime dramas.
