At ELFT we believe that it is essential for people to be supported to get the most out of their improvement work. With this in mind, we have a structure of support available within each ELFT directorate, with further help from the central QI team.

Monthly Directorate meetings led by senior staff. A place to present and discuss QI priorities, projects, and get support. This meeting is often attended by QI sponsors and QI coaches, with the support of the local Improvement Advisor.
QI and the People Participation Team work closely together to ensure all improvement work has service users at its core.
Senior members of staff with an interest in championing improvement work. All QI projects have a sponsor. Sponsors can help unblock issues that may be preventing project progress.
ELFT trained staff and service users that support a project team in applying QI tools and knowledge to their chosen area or priority. QI coaches have agreed dedicated time to coach projects, alongside their other roles.
Experts in improvement methods and tools, supporting QI coaches, QI sponsors, and the QI forum to develop their improvement approaches.
Our central department which provides training, support, and expertise in quality improvement approaches throughout the Trust.
