Introduction to QI for Service Users & Carers

Why is it important?

This is a great introduction for service users and carers into using quality improvement at ELFT and how to get involved in QI projects. Co-production with Service user and carers is crucial to the success of improvement. This workshop can be a first step into improvement before joining our one-day Pocket QI workshop.

Who is it suitable for?

Any service user and carer currently involved with ELFT services. You don’t have to have any prior knowledge of improvement work to join. The only criteria is that you are keen to work with ELFT staff to improve your service.

 

What is involved?

Our Introduction to QI Training for Service Users and Carers is a live online 3-hour interactive training session. This course is run with ELFT’s People Participation Team and our ELFT Improvement Advisors. It is designed to be a safe space to introduce the basics of using quality improvement at ELFT and how to get involved in improvement work.

You will hear from expert improvement coaches, some of whom have been service users at ELFT, who have worked across ELFT supporting improvement activity, as well as service users who have been involved in QI projects.

  • How service users and carers can get involved in improvement work
  • Learning the basics of quality improvement and the ELFT approach
  • How to use QI tools to help support improvement
