Improvement Advisor - Specialist Services (Addictions) and Primary Care
Vernanda holds an MSc in Medical Parasitology from The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, however, she was first introduced to QI, while working as a healthcare assistant in acute inpatient mental health settings. Vernanda has led and coached a variety of QI projects throughout her career. She previously worked as a Physical Health Innovation Lead where she supported inpatient and community teams with improving the quality of assessments and documentation of physical health assessments and interventions. More recently, she has completed the CNWL/Q Quality Coach Development Programme and has worked as an Improvement Coach where she coached a variety of improvement projects across corporate, forensic, sexual health and adult and child and adolescent mental health services. Vernanda is also passionate about improving staff wellbeing in the workplace and has led improvement projects aimed at improving staff wellbeing and morale and is a trained Wellbeing Champion.
