Congratulations to our new Improvement Coaches!

Cohort 4 of the IHI Improvement Coaching Programme graduated in September 2018, following six months of training and practical QI work.

We are thrilled to present ELFT’s newest Improvement Coaches, who will help support QI project teams throughout the organisation. The cohort received their certificates following seven days of intense training and practical work, spread across six months. The course was delivered by Dr Amar Shah – Consultant Forensics Psychiatrist & Chief Quality Officer, James Innes –Associate Director of Quality Improvement, Auzewell Chitewe – Senior Improvement Advisor, and Emma Binley – Improvement Advisor, with the support of the wider QI Team.

Themes covered included The Science of Improvement; Deming’s theory of Profound Knowledge; QI tools; Data collection and measurement and Consultation skills.

Here’s what some of the new coached had to say about the experience:

If you are part of ELFT and wish to seek local support for your QI project, access our Help &Support page and look for your coach.
