Masterclass: Managing demand and capacity

Join us for a Masterclass in Demand and Capacity management on Monday 25 September 2017 with Mike Davidge.
In this workshop we will be covering:
- How to understand the principles of flow through a service using QI tools
- Understanding causes of waiting, using theory, data and simulation
- Carve out, bottlenecks and batching
- Theory of constraints
- Scheduling and capacity planning
Mike is a Director at NHS Elect, he joined the NHS in 1979 in the early 1980s as part of IACC, he was jointly responsible for creating the first national performance indicators. He went on to pioneer reduced waiting times in England and Wales. Recently, he was Head of Measurement at the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement in 2009 until its closure. He continues to be involved part time with 1000 Lives Improvement in Wales as the Head of Improvement Methodology.
