Training Schedule
Pre-Call with Workshop Participants:
- 10th July 2014
3 day Improvement Workshop:
- 30th July – 1st August 2014
Post workshop calls ( 1 hour each)
- Call 1 by WebEx – 15th August 2014
- Call 2 by WebEx – 3rd September 2014
- Call 3 by WebEx – 22nd September 2014
Learning Sets ( to share progress on projects and add more theory)
- Learning Set 1 – 16th October 2014
- Learning Set 2 – 17th December 2014
Who is it suitable for?
- All staff members (nursing, clinical, operational, executive) in a leadership position are expected to complete the ILP
- Any staff member of any level involved or leading a QI project
- Any service user/carer who is involved in a QI project
What are the pre-requisites?
- Attendees must have a QI project. The project selected needs to align with local directorate priorities and be approved by the respective DMT/QI sponsors.
- Attendees need to be able to commit to attending all training days and learning sets
What is the course length & structure?
- Total course length is 5 months, including:
- 5 full days of workshops
What is covered?
- Fundamentals of running successful QI projects
- Understanding the problem you are trying to tackle
- Developing aim statements and driver diagrams
- Measuring data for improvement
- Using Plan Do Study Act cycles to test change ideas
- Implementation and Quality control
