The ELFT Improvement Leaders’ Programme (ILP) course includes 8 face to face training days. If you are interested please discuss with your line manager, local Clinical or Service Director, or contact your local sponsor. If you are unsure who your local sponsor is please follow this link to find out.

Who is it suitable for?
- All staff members (nursing, clinical, operational, executive) in a leadership position are expected to complete the ILP
- Any staff member of any level involved or leading a QI project
- Any service user/carer who is involved in a QI project
What are the pre-requisites?
- Attendees must have a QI project. The project selected needs to align with local directorate priorities and be approved by the respective DMT/QI sponsors.
- Attendees need to be able to commit to attending all training days and learning sets
What is the course length & structure?
- Total course length is 5 months, including:
- 5 full days of workshops
What is covered?
- Fundamentals of running successful QI projects
- Understanding the problem you are trying to tackle
- Developing aim statements and driver diagrams
- Measuring data for improvement
- Using Plan Do Study Act cycles to test change ideas
- Implementation and Quality control
