Wondering how to use QI to help teams improve their wellbeing and joy at work? Then ELFT’s work to use Quality Improvement (QI) to help teams tackle this has been published in the British Journal of Healthcare Management. The peer reviewed paper describes learning from 86 teams from across all parts of ELFT including clinical and non-clinical teams. Many change ideas, which were locally developed by staff, were tested including employee appreciation initiatives, virtual socials, positive gossip, reducing tasks of low value and making improvements to the environment.
The programme began in 2017 and is based on the Institute for Health Care Improvement’s (IHI) joy at work framework, which provides a basis for tackling staff experience using Quality Improvement.
