“Jump in and go for it!”: Embracing Change on the Improvement Leaders’ Programme

In this video, Simone – a Clinical Nurse Manager in Bedford and Luton Specialist Service for People with Learning Disabilities (SPLD) – shares her journey through the Improvement Leaders Programme.

From initial hesitations to leading multiple Quality Improvement (QI) projects, Simone reflects on how the programme has equipped her with new skills, boosted her confidence in using QI tools, and empowered her to drive meaningful change in healthcare. She discusses the impact of her project to improve physical health outcomes for people with learning disabilities, the power of collaboration, and how even small changes can make a big difference.

Her advice to others considering the programme? Take a deep breath, jump in, and go for it!
