Kara Gerrie
General Manager
Kara Gerrie is the General Manager for Specialist Children & Community Services in Newham at East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT).
Kara joined ELFT in May 2024. Prior to this she was Head of Clinical Operations & Service Development at Newham Health Collaborative. She qualified as a Paediatric Nurse in 2012 where she worked as a Neonatal Senior Sister before developing and launching Southend Neonatal Transitional Care (TC) as TC Lead Nurse in 2021.
Kara holds an MBA Senior Leader Degree Level 7 Apprenticeship & is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute.
Prior to the MBA, Kara completed the NHS England Quality Improvement & Service Redesign (QSIR) Practitioner course and is looking forward to combining the skills as a QSIR Practitioner, alongside the MBA with Coaching skills to facilitate future service improvements and developments across ELFT.
