
Marco Aurelio
Marco is a Senior Improvement Advisor in the Quality Improvement department.
With a professional background in informatics and performance management, Marco has a range of experience supporting improvements across different NHS provider organisations. Before joining ELFT Marco worked as a QI Lead at Homerton University Hospital where he supported the development of the trust’s QI programme and supported QI Projects. Before this he spent time at the Royal Free NHS FT and Hackney Council’s Public Health Team, focusing on delivering large scale intelligence projects. Prior to joining the NHS Marco worked in research and knowledge management in higher education and the third sector . Marco is currently working towards his Masters in Public Health.
A Senior Improvement Advisor role involves:
- Leading and managing a team of Improvement Advisors to support and coordinate improvement work across our trust, and with partners organisations
- Extra support for those projects working on one of the Trust priority workstreams
- Expertise in improvement methods and tools
Their responsibilities are:
- Attending and help coordinating the monthly directorate QI forums
- Teaching staff and service users & carers in improvement methods and tools
- Strategic support for directorate in defining improvement priorities, aligning QI work, building capability
- Regular supervision sessions in each directorate with QI coaches
- To collaborate with clinical/service director and sponsors to develop an ecosystem of support for improvement work
