Marlyn Dias
Marlyn began her journey with the NHS in November 2008 as a Ward Administrator. Within a year, she seized the opportunity to work as an Executive Assistant in the Directors Office at Beds and Luton Mental Health Services, based at Charter House, Luton. Over the next 14 years, Marlyn gained extensive experience working with various Directors, honing her skills and expanding her knowledge.
In 2024, during an administrative restructure, she transitioned into a new role as an Admin Training Assistant. In this position, she supports and encourages administrative staff in Beds and Luton with their training and development, fostering a Quality Improvement (QI) mind-set.
In 2023/24, Marlyn co-led a QI Project aimed at supporting new administrative starters in Beds and Luton. As part of this project, she implemented the ELFT Continuous Professional Development System for Admin Staff, which has been a significant success. The system is expected to be rolled out Trust-wide in the near future.
Before joining the NHS, Marlyn accumulated a wealth of administrative experience across various sectors, including Aviation, Higher Education, Pensions, Telecommunications, and Retail. Her strengths lie in her innovative and proactive approach, excellent communication, organizational, and IT skills, and her ability to share good practices with colleagues.
Marlyn has also attended the Improvement Leaders Programme and is currently embarking on the QI Coaching Journey, further solidifying her commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
