Raquel Williams
Raquel is a Senior Project Manager and a QI Coach.
Raquel’s current role covers children and young people mental health transformation projects of work within Tower Hamlets, project managing through transformation cycles. Throughout her 8 years in the NHS she has worked across various acute, community health, and health arm’s-length body settings, as a registered mental health nurse and more recently as project manager.
QI has long been a part of Raquel’s thinking when engaging in transformation work, and she was eager to more formally apply QI methodology as a QI Coach and support others in working through the QI process when carrying out change work.
A QI Coach role involves:
- Coaching QI teams within directorates, meeting with the team regularly
- Deeper knowledge of improvement methods and tools
Their responsibilities are:
- Help engage people and teams in QI
- Support project teams to develop ideas and strategy, using QI tools, and advise on how to complete project documentation
- Support project teams in using QI methodology, including PDSA cycles and data over time
- Provide monthly update on team progress to sponsor
- Teach and explain use of QI tools and methods
- Attend supervision with QI lead
